Convert Paste items to plain text (menu item & shortcut)

Paste offers an easy way to paste as plain text. My biggest wish is a command (menu item & shortcut) to quickly convert Paste items to plain text without the need of pasting them. Additionally a visible control (some sort of color flag for example) would be great to get clear (visible) information that an item is “pure” plain text without any remaining formatting information.
