Clipboard Paste Issue: Double-Click Functionality Not Working as Expected

Previously, I would call up paste in the app I was using on my Mac, and double-click the item I wanted to copy and it would paste automatically. But now, when I double-click, the item just gets copied to the clipboard, and I have to paste it manually. I have "Double-click to paste instantly" enabled in my settings, and paste is also allowed in Input Monitoring in Preferences.
