"Rapid" Paste?
Hi there, I see the recent quick paste that was introduced - and it seems quite helpful! However, I miss the "rapid" paste that was in a clipboard app I used a few years ago which I can sadly no longer find. :/ The quick paste is great, but it does take a bit of key combos to work - first to activate Pasteapp, and then to use a number combo to paste the right clipboard history item. The rapid paste that I used a few years ago was amazing in that it took the least amount of key comobs and just cycled through history. For example - say I copied something a few minutes ago and I know it's the 4th or so most recent thing I copied. All I'd have to do is press Option-Command-V (or whatever combo I set in Preferences) I and it would paste the 2nd most recent clipboard item. If that's not it, I'd simply press Command-Z to undo, of course, and then Shift-Command-V again...and repeat this until I got to the right item. All of this without any UI being needed or windows opening/closing on my screen. It was super efficient because once I got used to it, with the placement of the above two key combos, I could cycle through a paste super fast, and it was great having my most recent clipboard history available just through a single shortcut, with no UI needed. Hopefully this is something that can be considered? It would be amazing for power users, I believe. Many thanks!!

Does Paste Stack work for you? Enable a keybind for it in paste preferences, then you can ctrl+c, then ctrl+v to work in a FILO/FIFO stack.

Thanks for the quick response! Although quite close - the only reason that's not working for me in this case is that: - This has to be "premeditated" - so I have to know I want to re-paste this info. The goal of the above was to be able to cycle through recent pastes at any time without having to "do" something first to queue those pastes up. - This still introduces a UI that would show on the screen, and although it's quite helpful, the above approach I shared was so great because there was no UI needed...it just allowed me to cycle through past clipboard history through a single key combo. By the way...I did some digging and found the app I used - a longgg time ago! Clyppan! Here's their description of this feature. *Rapid Paste: use Rapid Paste keyboard shortcut to put the next item in Clyppan’s list on to the clipboard. This is a great way of pasting multiple items without switching away from the application you’re working in.*
