Choose a plan: subscription, Lifetime, Family, and Teams

Paste comes as a monthly or annual subscription, a one-time Lifetime purchase, a Family plan, or a Teams plan. You can buy from the App Store, directly from our website, or through Setapp, and every plan unlocks Paste across your Mac, iPhone, and iPad with continuous updates.

Subscription or Lifetime

The difference is how you pay, not what you get. Both unlock the full app on all your personal devices.

  • Monthly — pay as you go, month to month.

  • Annual — billed once a year, the best value of the recurring plans.

  • Lifetime — paid once, with no recurring charge.

Subscriptions include a 1-week free trial so you can try Paste before you are billed. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, so it does not include a trial. See the pricing page for current prices.

If you are deciding, pick a subscription when you want the lowest entry cost and a trial first, and Lifetime when you would rather pay once and never think about renewals.

I bought annual but want Lifetime

Lifetime is a separate, one-time purchase, and there is no credit for the time left on your subscription. You have two options:

  • Switch at no extra cost — cancel your subscription so it does not renew, keep using Paste until your paid period ends, then buy the Lifetime plan. See Manage your subscription to cancel.

  • Switch right away — if you renewed recently, request a refund of your current subscription, then buy Lifetime. For an App Store subscription, request the refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com — the decision is Apple's. For a website purchase, contact us and we can refund a recent order. Setapp does not sell Lifetime, so buy it on the App Store or our website and cancel your Setapp subscription separately.

Is there a Family or Teams option

Yes. Pick Family to share Paste with the people in your household, and Teams to give a group of coworkers their own seats.

  • Family — available on the App Store. Share Paste with up to six people, including you, through iCloud Family Sharing, and start with a 1-week free trial. Lifetime does not include Family Sharing, so choose Family if sharing is what you need.

  • Teams — purchased from our website, priced per seat. Teams covers multiple seats with volume discounts and a single invoice.

Where to buy

There are three channels, and you manage your plan wherever you bought it.

  • App Store — Mac and iOS. Offers Monthly, Annual, Lifetime, and Family.

  • Directly from the website — macOS, with Monthly, Annual, and Lifetime for personal use plus the Teams plan. A website purchase gives you a license key. See Activate a direct license.

  • Setapp — macOS only. If you subscribe to Setapp, Paste is included alongside many other Mac apps at no extra cost. Setapp doesn't offer the Lifetime or Family plans.
